PUBLIC MEETING UPDATE

ANNUAL PUBLIC MEETING

Wednesday, February 10th at 7:00 PM

We have received permission to move forward with our Public Meeting with the following limitations and safeguards:

Meeting capacity will be restricted to what we can safely accommodate. We will have designated overflow areas and ask all attendees to be cooperative with instructions.

All attendees will be required to wear an appropriate face mask (cloth, surgical, N95) during the meeting.

All attendees will need to use hand sanitizer as they enter.

Attendees will need to maintain safe social distancing throughout the meeting. Immediate family members may sit together.

The meeting will be kept as short as possible.

Anyone showing signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19 infection, or with a known exposure, should not attend.

We will be holding an election for members of the Board of Directors.

For anyone not able or not comfortable with attending the meeting due to COVID-19 concerns, but would still like to participate: a board representative will be available at the entrance to the building an hour prior to the meeting. You may stop by, cast your vote, and sign up to receive a copy of the meeting summary via email.

We will accept nominations until Tuesday, February 9th.

2021 Public Meeting

The Annual Public Meeting for Pocatello Legion Baseball has been TENTATIVELY scheduled:

The current State of Idaho Stay Healthy Order prohibits public gatherings of more than 10 people. As state authorities monitor conditions in Idaho, we will watch for updates to this order and make changes to our meeting plans as needed. This includes changing the meeting date, location, and possibly format. It may become necessary to share information with the Pocatello Legion Baseball community virtually.

One of the primary objectives of the Public Meeting is to nominate and vote for new members for the Board of Directors. We are asking everyone to submit names of potential candidates ahead of the meeting in order to expedite the vote. Please send in your nominations via email at pokylegionbaseball@gmail.com or via text at 208-241-5080. You may also contact any of our current board members. (Directory can be found on the "ADDRESSES" page.) We have multiple openings for the Board of Directors for the upcoming season. If you have been considering participating in the legion baseball program, now is a great time to start!

Tryout Update

We are planning to move forward with tryouts starting next week, May 18th - 22nd. We have all but the last detail confirmed, but feel confident that we will be allowed to begin on Monday. Should we have to make any last minute changes we will post that information on the Tryouts Page as well as on social media.

We understand that all of this uncertainty has been challenging and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through all of the steps needed to move forward safely. Everyone involved in making decisions knows that it is important to protect the players and coaches while still allowing for a productive and successful tryout.

Groups will be set and posted on Saturday. If you haven't registered yet, please do so by 12:00 PM on May 16th so you can be included in a tryout group.
